Michael Lynche
American Idol contestant Michael Lynche, also known as ‘Big Mike’, has been cut from the show after his father blabbed that his son had made the Top 24.
Lynche’s father revealed to his local paper The St. Petersburg Times in Florida that his son had made American Idol’s Top 24 contestants.
Obviously American Idol has contestants and their families sign confidentiality agreements promising not to reveal the results before they are broadcast on the show. If you break this agreement you can be canned, regardless of how far you get in the competition.
Sadly this isn’t Michael’s fault, but instead, his father’s. Unfortunately Michael is the one who will pay a hefty price for his father’s mistake.
How terrible that because of his big mouthed father he won’t get to compete, why his father had to say anything at all is beyond me – it’s not like his father contributed to success but now cost him his biggest chance to change his life. I hope he feels half the shame he deserves to feel, poor kid having such a loser for a parent.
