Utah Bar: Sorry Kristen Stewart, This Isn’t Hollywood!

‘The Runaways’ star, Kristen Stewart

Last Saturday Kristen Stewart was in Park City, Utah for Sundance, and was denied entry to a bar.

The nerve!

The 19 year-old actress tried to get into the Ed Hardy Shoes Happy Hour event with a group of friends but was denied entrance after the bouncer asked to see her identification, which she obviously could not provide.

A source told OK! magazine: “She and her friends seemed pretty surprised. Her friends tried to reason with the bouncer and told them that they just wanted to sit down and relax for 30 minutes but the bouncer still declined them. They huddled up for a few minutes, discussing what to do next and eventually left.”

Yup. Utah isn’t exactly Hollywood, sweetheart. Of course if you were trying to get into any club in WeHo it wouldn’t have been a problem. Nice to see that celebrity status can’t get you everything….in other parts of the country at least. Obviously a different story in Hollywood. I am always shocked at how clubs/bars just look the other way in Tinseltown when underage celebs enter drinking establishments. But then again, O.J. got away with murder in L.A., why should it be surprising that underage celebs can drink there?

Silly woman, just because you can join the army at 18 and be given a rifle and get sent to Iraq to kill people the government does not like, what would make you think you are entitled to have a beer with some friends in a bar at 19? She is clearly not thinking straight :-P

You know that’s pretty lame. All other countries, as far as I know, are rather lax on the whole drinking bit. In Italy they actually put wine mixed with water in bottles to sooth a cranky baby. Here in America, I guess adults aren’t really adults?
