Looks like Mel B is copying Cassie, who also donned a similar hairdo not too long ago. However, Cassie wasn’t the first, those of you who are old enough to remember, Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow made the style hot in the early 80’s.

Shit, I rocked a WAAAAAAY better version of this in 1993. Think this, but shaved all the way around. With my hair down, you couldn’t tell, with it in a ponytail, it was fresh!!!
