John Forsythe has died at the age of 92.

Forsythe is best known for his role as Blake Carrington on the 1980′s soap, “Dynasty.” George Peppard was originally slated to play Carrington but Forsythe was chosen as his replacement at the last minute. Forsythe was also the voice of Charlie on Charlie’s Angels and had numerous small movie roles throughout his lifetime.

Forsyhte’s publicist confirmed that his client died Thursday night of pneumonia following a long battle with cancer.
