Bret Michaels’ Appendectomy

Bret Michaels, 47, was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after suffering severe stomach pains.

Michaels, who (amazingly) performed earlier in the night in San Antonio, thought he had a bad case of the flu. Instead, doctors found that he needed an emergency appendectomy!

His publicist confirms that his surgery went well and he’s currently recovering in the hospital. He added: “Michaels, who has been known to perform under extreme conditions that would make most performers cancel, will unfortunately have no choice but to reschedule some of his April tour dates.”

Wow, way to buck up and play for your fans despite being horribly ill. Some musicians can’t make it after a rough night of partying!

We wish Bret a quick recovery – and lots of hot nurses to keep him occupied. Heh.
