Courtney Love = Courtney Michelle
Courtney Love is changing her name to her given name of Courtney Michelle.
Born Courtney Michelle Harrison, Courtney Love says that she no longer wishes to carry her old stage name, which she created in the early 90′s.
Courtney told NME magazine: “We love her when she goes onstage, but I don’t need her in the rest of my life . . . The name Courtney Love is a way to oppress me.”
Good luck shaking that name, Courtney. See how well it worked for Prince? You’ll forever be known as Courtney Love, love.
Love went on the interview saying how she is tired of talking about her late husband, Kurt Cobain. “I am not his spokesperson on Earth. I don’t know what he’d be like now, he could be into society girls, he could be into fat girls, he could be homosexual. We don’t know, he died at 27.”
She might not be his spokesperson, but when it comes to royalties and such, she definitely wants in on the action.
Do you think society will grasp the Courtney Michelle name? Methinks no. Might I suggest Courtney Heroin? Courtney Brownstone? Courtney Eightball? Courtney Batsh*tcrazycukoopants? Now, one of those names just might stick.
Your names fit best. I think she is somewhat “biting the hand that feeds her”. Instead, she should feel thankful for what that name and affiliation has done for her.
Maybe C.C. for Crazy Courtney.
In a way I do feel for her because her whole life is in turmoil due to the relationship with her daughter, or lack of one. It’s out of her control now and she can’t even contact her daughter at this point. She’s not been the most stable person, but I think she’s trying to keep it together for her kid, and is hoping that she will see that and reach out. Courtney has been the architect of almost all of her recent problems, but for some reason I really always want to pull for her to be alright and do the music and acting – she is talented, but not so much at life.
What a sad person. This is perhaps the direction to which Linday’s life is heading?
