Phillies fan tasered after running on the playing field

A Phillies fan was tasered by a security officer during the game Monday night and some people are asking if the taser was use of excessive force.

The 17-year-old ran onto the Phillies field and wildly waved around a t-shirt as he tried to evade security. It took numerous guys to round him up but it was the taser that stopped the young Phillies fan and dropped him like a sack of potatoes.

Apparently Phillies players found the situation quite funny and hid their faces with gloves and hats as they laughed at the tasered moron who had disrupted the game.

Excessive force? Seriously? If you are stupid enough to do something like this you deserve to be made a spectacle of. Thinking about running onto a field and interrupting a game? Then think about twitching and jerking around like an idiot in front of the nation.

People are such hypocrites. They’ll say this was excessive force, but if the kid would have ran out and hurt a player the question would be, Why didn’t security taser the fool and protect the players? Then the injured player would sue the venue, etc. You know how it goes. So, no. I have no sympathy for this little menace. You mess with the bull, you get the taser, bro.

    The thing is, the kid didnt seem to be an immediate threat. People running onto the field has happened as far back as I can remember. A taser hurts. It sends electricity through your body. I really dont think anyone can say that was warranted. Use of tasers shouldnt be to humiliate someone publicly. I’m disappointed to see you feel otherwise.

    You never know if someone is a security threat now, what if he was pissed off because his team was loosing and he decided to pull a gun on someone? You say he will sue because he was tasered, but what if he had been hurt while being chased, or hurt someone else? And what if one of those people trying to run him down had been hurt? Time is money, every minute they chased him, was a minute he wasted for fans, people working the concessions, all of the players ect. I say they should send the dweeb a bill for the extra time people had to wait, and work while they chased his butt down.

    Wrong! Tasers are for criminals. People have run onto the field for decades! So what! What if what if what if. However they can’t say one time that “a person” has done anything to any player, officers or whomever. The list of what ifs can go on forever but the fact that it has been going on for decades with none of the what ifs…. I say the taser is too much.
