Who Won Celebrity Apprentice 2010? [PHOTOS]

Who won Celebrity Apprentice 2010?

Guess who won Celebrity Apprentice this season?

Yup. Like everyone had figured, Bret Michaels won Celebrity Apprentice! But don’t worry about Holly Robinson Peete, I think even she was pulling for him.

The final task for Celebrity Apprentice was creating a Snapple campaign. Lawd, Snapple must have paid a TON of coin to land that gig. Seriously. I think I am going to be dreaming of Snapple tonight.

Joan Rivers, last year’s winner of Celebrity Apprentice, made an appearance giving her opinion of who she thought should win. She too, was pulling for Bret Michaels to win it. Ya know, I am still pissed about her winning last year. She was vile! Calling people names, throwing fits and threatening to leave the show. It was ridiculous. In my mind, Annie Duke was the real winner last year. But anyway…

Wow, you really gotta hand it to Bret who, despite everything he has gone through in the past month, (and week, even!) still managed to travel to New York for the Celebrity Apprentice finale. You could see by how he walked that he is still having issues with his legs. What a trooper. How can you not love the guy?

Congratulations, Bret. You are my favorite Celebrity Apprentice yet!

FANTASTIC!!! He EARNED it, didn’t he?! He really proved his abilities. Forget his seeming to be a bit “scatter-brained,” if you will, or too talkative at the beginning of the tasks. Once he got past all his excitement and self-brainstorming, he was a SOLID leader, and far more than that. He worked his ass off all the way. And for the final task, he pretty much did it by himself. Daryl was thoroughly useless, and what’s-her-name was not very encouraging. And, at the board table, she really put him down in an un-clever way. Back to Bret: He deserved to win! And I think everyone was thrilled. Good show, damn good show!

Let’s empirically look at facts about the Celebrity Apprentice Final task and then Season overall based on key performances by competitors…

    FINAL TASK:

Client, Snapple, clearly indicated Brett was overall better in performance. His presentation was more impressive. Snapple liked both drinks, and both brochures were a draw (one was better inside, one better outside). The client reacted more favorably to Brett’s Snapple video commercial over Holly’s – they said it was more appealing, fun and used his celebrity presence and voice to draw attention. Snapple execs liked Holly’s label, did not like her presentation over Bret’s, and criticized Holly for not using Curtis or her own celebrity to draw attention to the brand.

It is fair to add that while Brett managed his own time a little poorly, he pulled through, completed everything, and did is own creative, production, and post). It is also fair to say Holly was less energetic, upset that one of her teammates had to leave for a pre-commitment, and that she delegated poorly. Holly sent Maria to do the Commercial for post-editing work (not to be underestimated in film or video production), EVEN THOUGH Holly had PREVIOUSLY BLAMED MARIA for her poor video editing in a PREVIOUSLY LOST TASK… Call that a good leader? …I call it making the same mistake twice!!!

Trump did a CROWD REACTION Test at the presentation, and the crowd overwhelmingly chose Brett as the winner after seeing the video commercial and hearing presentation and seeing the brochures… so I think it is safe to say that performance wise Brett won for content and presentation.
It certainly wasn’t a win for Holly, except for the fact that Trump decided to give the Snapple matching $250K donation to whoever would be the loser (whether it be Brett or Holly). He ultimately chose Brett as overall winner, and that means he wanted to give the CA $250K to himself to Brett.

You decide for yourself based on the final TASK if it was a win for either or a draw?

Snapple liked both, but it seems Brett won their favor with his presentation and by gaining the crowd’s favor at the task presentation!

NOTE: TRUMP DOES ‘NOT’ DECIDE TASK WINNER(s), he ONLY DECIDES who is FIRED from LOSING TEAM(s), and ultimately that helps decide who is hired in the final…
THE CLIENT ALWAYS DECIDES WHO WINS THE TASKS (not Trump).

    SEASON SUMMARY:

NOTE: Performances & review for all tasks including the final Snapple task were BEFORE Brett had recent health emergencies. No sympathy was involved in the statistics which speak for themselves.

    Brett:
2 wins 0 losses (not counting final against Holly), 100% wins as Project Manager (PM).
    - Brett almost single handedly won the 3 jingles radio commercials challenge for a home services company- he won by a landslide for content, superior clarity and originality.
    - Brett’s strengths were: superior team respect and drive, amazing creativity, unyielding confidence and effort.
    - Never got lazy, came back from a pre-arranged gig to support Holly when she was PM, & Brett did a LOT of LABOR as a teammate… never let diabetes or health be a factor!

    Holly:
1 win 2 losses (not counting final against Brett), 33% wins as Project Manager.
    - Holly was Project Manager when her team raised the most money in a single challenge that was the ONLY challenge to allow loser funds to be added to winners. Holly’s team did not actually win the task via client decision (best product). Sharon’s team (with mainly Brett’s creativity) won client decision for best Fitness Program. If Sharon’s $140 was not added to Holly’s $217K, Holly would NOT have earned most CA funds raised in single task (Annie Duke would reign at $245K), and Holly may not have been highest performer for CA Season 3 over Brett.
    - Holly constantly vocalized who Trump should fire in the boardroom, and often betrayed her teammates by “throwing them under the bus” – aggressive, but unnecessary if she is a better task performer. Great business people succeed by taking responsibility, learning from mistakes, and making sure their team is loyal by guiding them with GREAT VISION, not by throwing staff under the bus.
    - Holly should have restricted her boardroom tactics to stating why ‘she’ earned the right to stay, but clearly she did not have enough merit to present against that of the other contestants.
    - Holly is a *professional* Fund Raiser for her own company (charity), and so she garnered PRE-ARRANGED commitments from her REGULAR DONORS, which she clearly didn’t use on other challenges, but reserved those commitments for the task SHE managed that allowed loser’s funds to be added to the winner’s… Her company as charity and daily employ as fund raiser is an unfair advantage (against other players/charities) – NBC should not allow celebrities employed by their charities.
    - In very first challenge, Holly did not direct ‘HER’ DONORS supposedly waiting in line outside the restaurant to come in to make their large contributions for first task because Cindy was PM. Be it a planned tactic or not, since their team lost as a result, Trump should have FIRED HOLLY on the FIRST TASK (not Carol) – Trump was not informed of this fact.
    - In the task that Holly won the most funds raised in a single CA task, NONE OF HOLLY’s PRE-ESTABLISHED “DONOR” DONATIONS WOULD HAVE COUNTED without her teammates (and Cindy’s) last minute efforts to save the day by scrambling to bring in the ‘REQUIRED’ stand-in REPRESENTATIVES for each donation – HOLLY’s DONATIONS would have been DISQUALIFIED! Clearly POOR TIME MANAGEMENT by Holly. Holly never thanked Cindy for saving the day, instead she tried to oust Cindy.
    - Holly promised Sharon a check, because Sharon raised $140K of the cash Holly took in the special winner-take-all challenge. Holly has NOT YET presented a check to Sharon (she had a check for the full $347K amount written to her own company/org.).

So, how is Holly superior? She had less wins, less integrity, a lot of help from her teammates to win her only win… and she had pre-arranged donations because she is a pro fund raiser.

NOTICE: NBC & Trump should not allow professional fund raisers employed by their own organizations on Celebrity Apprentice, not unless ALL are professional like that. It is no fair to the other players or their charities. It’s simply not equitable (nor as philanthropic) to allow such advantages.
