Jarrod Wyatt, MMA Fighter, kills friend
MMA fighter Jarrod Wyatt, 26, allegedly killed his good friend in March while under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms.
Wyatt was having a “bad trip” and thought his friend, Taylor Powell, who was also his sparring partner, had the devil inside him.
Wyatt drilled an 18-inch hole into Powell’s chest and removed his heart, tongue and most of his face. Then he put Powell’s severed body parts into a wood stove and cooked them, because he thought Powell, 21, was still alive.
Jarrod Wyatt was convinced the world was about to end and that Powell was the devil. He told police, “Satan was in that dude.”
He has been charged with first degree murder. Wyatt’s first court date was Tuesday but he did not enter a plea.
Wyatt’s attorney told the media Tuesday: ”My client was trying to silence the Devil.”
Holy crap, this is seriously messed up. That’s the thing about psychedelic drugs, kiddos. They’re like a box of chocolates. You could be laughing your ass off for hours on end – or you end up cooking your friend’s body parts in the wood stove.
This is such a freaky story, he did this in front of witnesses! Is it true he was also eating the heart he took out of his friends body and cooked? It’s starting to seem like that because why else would you cook something if not to eat it? Ugh just made myself sick. I’ve never heard of a crime like this because of magic mushrooms, like ever.
OMG this is one of the most horrific drug stories I have ever heard…or just stories I have ever heard! So sad, and yes, it seems with any psychedelic or “designer” drug out there, this can happen. Nothing is “pure” anymore! Still hard to believe he didn’t have a little crazy in him before the drugs though…
