Captain Phil Harris of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch loved his motorcycles.

Sadly since his death, Phil Harris’ family is being forced to sell his bike. As many of you know, when a family member dies, as much as you would like to, you can’t keep everything.

Captain Phil was a local, in my neck of the woods, here about 30 minutes north of Seattle. His motorcycle was painted by a guy who is also well-known in the area. Mike Lavelle of Killer Paint Airbrush Studio in Snohomish, WA. Mike’s work is amazing and around here you can see vehicles, motorcycles, trailers and hell, I have even seen a mailbox painted by Lavelle. All absolutely amazing – and definitely ‘killer’. Sadly, we will no longer see Captain Phil riding his motorcycle around here. He passed away in February after suffering a stroke.

The motorcycle, a 2007 Titan Radical Rigid chopper, is currently at $14,200, with 21 bids – the Reserve has not yet been met. The auction ends Sunday.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Children’s Hospital & the Fishermen’s Memorial.
