Summer 2010 is all about the jumpsuit!
With summer just around the corner, I’m sure most of you are in the process of updating your 2010 summer wardrobe.
Last time we covered maxi-dresses and stripes, this time we are going to cover jumpsuits! Yes, jumpsuits are back in, and don’t act like you didn’t know, they are everywhere right now. From the likes of Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan and Rihanna, celebrities everywhere are wearing them right now.
Jumpsuits can be simple or extravagant, form fitting or loose and comfortable – there is a jumpsuit out there for everyone.
Spicy has scoured the net to find a jumpsuit just for YOU! So take a peek and find the one that ‘suits’ you.
On a budget:
[R] Wallet tight? Walmart has this smocked, strapless jumper for only $18.95 AND it costs only 97 cents to ship. Great deal for under $20!
[L] Although this Target jumpsuit was out of stock on the internet, you might be able to find it in stores. And it is certainly worth a try for only $24.95.
Shorts Jumpers:
[L] This plaid shorts jumper from Express is not only trendy and eye catching, it is affordable! $34.65 on sale, 30% off right now!
[R] Victoria’s Secret jumper in a nice, cool fabric for summer. Available for only $39.50.
Safari Jumpsuits:
[L] Safari jumper by Apple Bottoms, satin fabric, cargo pockets. Supposedly true to size as well, which is always nice to know, $40.
[Middle] ELLE cargo jumper available at Kohls. Usually sells for $60, on SALE for $38.99!
[R] Newport News Jeanology jumper with wide legs, back princess seams for a flattering fit and cutaway shoulders. Sexy and comfortable. $59.
Plus Size jumpers:
[L] Baby Phat jumper with peacock feather, available at Macys, on sale for $50.15.
[R] Apple Bottoms jumper (LOVE this one!) On sale for $69.99 at Dr. Jays.com. Halter style top with satin cargo pants, this jumpsuit is simply too fab to pass up, ladies!
Splurge!
[L] Ralph Lauren Silk Para jumpsuit. Aviatrix style is luxuriously chic in a haute strapless jumpsuit, $398. This is one of my favorites. I love how Ralph Lauren is always so classic.
[Middle] For something a little more daring, Lanvin’s one shoulder plisse satin jumpsuit will do, made in France, sold at Bergdorf Goodman for $2292.00. And that’s on sale from $3275!
[L] This interesting distressed light blue chambray jumper is made by 7 For All Mankind and retails for $198.

As for jumpsuit accessories, there are MANY ways to dress up a jumper. The key is to not overdo it. Chunky is good, but if you are going with huge hoop earrings, don’t wear a chunky necklace. Maybe opt for some bangles instead. If a wide belt interests you, wear an eye catching necklace and go easy on the earrings. I guess the point is, don’t wear overpowering earrings, necklace, bracelets, belt AND shoes with a jumper. Pick and chose. Play around and see what works for your jumper/body type. Have fun with it and knock ‘em dead, ladies!
