Many of you have probably scoured the internet for the Gary Coleman death photos, right?
Not calling myself holier-than-thou or anything, but I don’t get the death photo craze. No, I have not seen the Gary Coleman photos, and no, I don’t plan on seeing them. Sadly, because I link other blogs and cruise the net constantly, I will probably accidentally come across them. However, I am going to do my best to not.
This is what bothers me. Bloggers. Bloggers are the first ones to call out Shannon Price for profitting from these photos, but yet they themselves are profitting from the death photos by posting them on their blog, no? Hypocritical? You bet.
Bloggers who go on and on about what a monster Shannon Price is, and how dare she snap photographs of a dead Gary Coleman but yet rush and scurry like rats to post his death photos, are just as bad, and just as guilty as Shannon Price.
Gary Coleman said in his will that he did not want anyone at his funeral/memorial service who had any financial ties to him. Nor did he want the press/media there taking photos. You see, he did not wish to be exploited in death as he had in life. If he’d only known that his very own partner would hire a production company to take photos of him while on his death bed – and after he had died – and would sell those very photos to the media. How do you think Gary would feel about that? I’m quite sure he will be spinning in his grave, if he ever gets one, that is. Just a sad situation all the way around.
I just wanted to rant because I am sick of the hypocrites in the blogging world. Have some morals for God’s sake. Or at least have a spine to admit that you’re doing exactly what Shannon Price is doing.
Truth hurts.
Amen sista! I have seen the one that’s on the cover of the globe and in NO WAY would I or could I post those pictures. The whole thing is so sad.
How do you know for a fact that Shannon hired a production firm to take photos?

I personally have not looked nor tried to look. Those moments are sacred moments to be shared with your loved ones, not lookie-loos, and I think it’s shameful that not only Shannon Price jumped through the hoops to get them sold but that (a) they were sold, (b) other people are posting them and (c) people are being hypocritical about the whole situation.
Let him rest in peace, I say! Don’t give the leach anything more life-sustaining in the form of press and exposure.

OMG Shannon you claim that you did not sell the photo, Then who took the picture? Remember you to will be gone one day.. God don’t like ugly. So i am going to pray that he notes your ugly.. May that beautiful black man rest in peace.. Karma is a B.tch.. I will not wish anything bad on you, you already have to wake up and look at yourself in the mirror, and see what is staring back. You are supposed to be a woman with morals and from that picture you sold of Gary was just awful.The only people who should have had access to Gary was his parents..I am sure when he married you, he never thought you would do him like this.. Again I pray for you that have a decent death because you sure did not give Gary one

It’s not a rant babes, it’s reason. I’ve clapped eyes on the snaps, and I wish I hadn’t to be honest (and nope, I didn’t go looking for them either). There’s something ghoulishly macabre and twisted about the whole affair. Definitely not cool. What ever happened to dignity in death, eh? Xx
It’s heartbreaking that not one person around Gary wants to do the right thing by him, like bury him. All these scavengers are doing is fighting over stuff and the rights to his name to further profit from his misery. All he wanted at the end were people who loved him for him, and there is not one soul to be found. It’s so sad.
I just got done running errands and not one store is carrying that Globe, the Safeway refused them and so did the Rite-Aid, so at least there are some decent people out there who aren’t going to allow this. I hope other companies follow suit and refuse to take them or put the Globe out for children see.
It’s so sad that Gary’s life was not a happy one even marrying this barracuda. She has no heart for this guy just thinking how she can get her grabbing hands on cash no matter who she hurts. At TMZ if I read it correctly she is now going to claim common-law wife. Can you believe this.. She is not a stupid woman like she makes herself look.
