Celebrity Weddings abound!
This weekend was a crazy one for celebrity weddings.
Numerous celebrity weddings took place this weekend including Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, LaLa Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski and Martin Lawrence and Shamicka Gibbs.
Country singer and former American Idol contestant Carrie Underwood, 27, and Mike Fisher, Ottawa Senators hockey player, 30, were married Saturday in front of 250 friends and family members. The couple released the following statement: “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” Kinda funny, Carrie’s new name is Carrie Fisher! I’m sure her career name will stay Underwood, but I believe she took the Fisher name.
Television personality LaLa Vazquez, 30, and NBA star Carmelo Anthony, 26, were married Saturday evening in NYC. The couple have a 3-year old son who was also a part of the ceremony. The couple have been engaged for 5-years. LaLa wore a Vera Wang gown and has an 8-carat wedding ring and two wedding bands that add another 2.5 carats. Bling bling.
The Office stars Emily Blunt, 27, and John Krasinski, 30, were married Saturday as well. Popular day it was, for celebrity weddings! The couple have been together for 2-years. Blunt is now rocking a 3-carat platinum ring.
And again on Saturday, Martin Lawrence, 45, married his longtime girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs, 35. The wedding was held at Lawrence’s home in Beverly Hills, in the backyard. Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington were present. The couple’s daughters, ages 7 and 9, were flower girls, as was Lawrence’s 14-year old daughter from a previous marriage.
