Yep, y’all know I love me some 80′s old school rap, so today I figured I would post a little N.W.A. How about ‘Dope Man’?
I think last time I posted an old school rap vid it was Public Enemy’s Can Truss It, and I said that Public Enemy was my all-time fave rap group. But then AgentBedhead chimed in saying she was more of an N.W.A. girl. And you know what, after revisiting a little N.W.A. I’m thinking N.W.A. might really be my favorite old school rap group as well.
N.W.A. really brought rap into the mainstream and to small towns like the one where I grew up. Of course you can credit other groups, like, say Run D.M.C., of doing the same, but N.W.A. was like a virus. Once someone heard the albums N.W.A and the Posse or Straight Outta Compton they were HOOKED.
Ice Cube, Dre, MC Ren, Eazy-E….some of the best in the business, ever. Bust this sh*t out at parties and it’s ON, mofos! Viva La N.W.A., bitches!
I love NWA…this is a timely post. Can’t remember what line I busted out last week but my 17 year old son was shocked I knew any NWA and even more shocked when I showed him my ipod; straight outta compton, fuck the police, express yourself, boys in the hood….memories! Thanks Spice ;)
