Portia DeGeneres: Portia de Rossi Changes Her Name



Introducing Portia Degeneres!

Portia de Rossi is changing her name to Portia Degeneres.

Portia, who married Ellen Degeneres back in 2008, has decided to take on her spouse’s last name.

Portia has filed a petition with L.A. County Superior Court to legally change her last name from de Rossi to Degeneres.

This would be one of the only, if not THE only instance of gay marriage where a celebrity has taken on their spouse’s name. At least that I can think of….am I missing anybody?

I love Ellen and Portia. I’m happy to see they are still happy and in wedded bliss. we all know that most marriages/relationships  in Hollywood don’t last – gay or not!
