George Michael was in court again this morning after running his car into a building and then passing out on July 4th.

When police arrived at the scene of ‘Snappy Snaps’, a one-hour photo mat (they still have those?) the former Wham! singer was groggy and sweating profusely. The moment he awoke and saw police, Michael tried to put his car into gear and leave the scene.

This was George Michael’s fifth driving related incident and his seventh run-in with police in the past 12-years.

JULY 2010
Crashed Range Rover into shop in Hampstead in the early hours on his way back from the Gay Pride parade. Arrested and tested for drugs. CHARGED

AUGUST 2009
Arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs after crashing into the back of a lorry on the A34 in Berkshire. Breathalysed and held for almost five hours. NO ACTION

SEPTEMBER 2008
Held for possession of Class A and Class C drug after being caught by police in a public toilet on Hampstead Heath, a notorious meeting place for gay men.
CAUTIONED

OCTOBER 2006
Found slumped at the wheel of his Mercedes in north London. Pleaded guilty to driving while unfit. Banned for two years and handed 100 hours’ community service. Also cautioned for possession of cannabis.
PLEADED GUILTY

APRIL 2006
Allegedly crashed his Mercedes into three parked cars near his north London home. Interviewed under caution but not charged. NO ACTION

FEBRUARY 2006
Arrested for possession of a Class C drug after being found asleep at the wheel at Hyde Park Corner. Later said it was ‘my own stupid fault as usual’.
CAUTIONED

1998
Arrested by U.S. police for ‘engaging in a lewd act’ in a public toilet in California.

George Michael has better luck than Lindsay Lohan when it comes to the court system. However, after crashing his car and/or being caught driving completely wasted multiple times it seems that something MIGHT stick this time. For starters, the judge has pulled his license for 6 months. But District Judge Robin McPhee has postponed sentencing saying that he will do so after considering George’s progress with a community order set back in 2007.

Not sure what there is to consider! Looks like there has been no progress on George’s end of things.

When George was caught on July 4th, police gave him a  blood test and discovered THC in his blood, but no alcohol. Prescription drugs must have also been discovered because the Judge said before he would hand down a sentence he wanted to know how a certain prescription sedative could have affected George.

George Michael has admitted numerous times in the past to smoking excessive amounts of marijuana. Even upwards of 25 joints a day.

George is SO talented, and SUCH a mess right now. Actually, he has been for years. He really needs to get help before it’s too late. Amazing he hasn’t killed someone or himself while behind the wheel of a car. With any luck the judge will give him the Lohan treatment – a little jail time and a lot of rehab. But don’t count on it…
