Venus Williams US Open outfit causes a stir

Venus Williams latest tennis outfit for the US Open is making headlines once again.

I’m really not sure why because this time Venus’ outfit is rather tame compared to those in the past.

Venus explains how she chooses her tennis outfits: “So far this year my outfits have been based on the cities that I play in. This outfit was supposed to be about New York. It’s like bursts of fireworks.”

I don’t find it that shocking at all! A little cheapy looking, but it isn’t that risque…

Its not that the outfit is risque, really. Its just that in tennis, like many other sports (golf, equestrian events, etc) you are supposed to compete while dressed in a manner that is classy and appropriate. Just like you shouldn’t go to a business meeting in faded jeans, they probably won’t kick you out because of it, but everyone will note that you are lacking proper decorum. I think bringing some colors and patterns into her clothes is fine, but this looks a little tacky to me.
