Lou Reed, Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle traveled all the way from London to Los Angeles to sing on “America’s Got Talent,” but Lou Reed got in the way and ruined it for everyone.
Boyle was scheduled to sing Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day” but two hours before taping was to begin Reed put the kibosh on things and refused to allow Boyle to sing his song. By the way, the Lou Reed song appears on Susan Boyle’s upcoming album, The Gift.
Since Susan had no time to prepare for another song she was simply told she would not be performing, this devastated her. TMZ reported that Boyle stormed off the set, but another insider says it’s just not true.
“The bit about her storming off is not true. She was still in her the hotel, getting ready to go to the studio . . . Susan is a very sensitive soul, and she takes her work very seriously. She was very upset about the situation. She knew a lot of of fans had flown in especially to watch her perform and felt she had let them down. She was heartbroken and had put so much effort in to this performance. It’s a real shame.”
Not exactly the ‘perfect day’ for Ms. Boyle.
Wonder why he decided this two hours before? Not very nice, but I love Lou Reed…
