The trailer for Country Strong has hit the net, and it’s a lot like any country song where your crying in your beer, your dog ran away and your Ford’s got a flat tire.
In Country Strong Gwyneth Paltrow plays Kelly Canter, a washed up, drunk, aging country singer who tries to get her career back on track. Tim McGraw stars as Paltrow’s bearded husband and Leighton Meester is the up and coming young hot thing stealing all Paltrow’s thunder.
Haven’t there been a trillion movies with this same plot? This movie summed up in one word? Meh.
I dunno what it is.. But Gweneth has got it. I cannot STAND modern day country music, but I think this movie is going to be great.
