Cher at the 2010 MTV VMA’s

Cher shocked everyone at the MTV VMA’s last night when the 64-year-old pranced onstage rocking her “If I Could Turn Back Time” outfit that she wore in the 1989 video.

Cher was right when she mentioned how that outfit is tame compared to what celebrities wear nowadays. But in 1989 this outfit was definitely controversial and risque – as was the video.

I’ll admit (sorry, Cher!) when Cher first came out onstage I thought she was a drag queen/ Cher impersonator! But alas, she was the real deal, all dolled up in a huge wig, spandex and leather.

I love Cher though and hey, if you look that good at 64, why not show it off a bit. Even if you did pay for it.
