Ines Sainz sexually harassed by the NY Jets [Pictures/ Photos]
Sainz, a former Miss Spain and Miss Universe contestant, was on the sidelines during the NY Jets practice on Saturday and was reportedly subjected to wolf whistles and cat calls from NY Jets team members. The men flirted with her, throwing footballs in her direction, but it was after practice that the harassment came.

Ines Sainz waited in the NY Jets locker room to interview Mark Sanchez when the men came filing in. The team said sexually suggestive things to and about her, with no regard for their surroundings. As she waited for her interview she Tweeted: “I’m so uncomfortable! I’m in the Jets locker room waiting for Mark Sanchez and trying not to look around me.”
Her next Tweet: “I want to cover my ears.”
Ines Sainz says that the NY Jets coach has since apologized and she has accepted.

Later she described the incident saying that she remained professional as the harassment happened and that it bothered her colleagues more than herself. “I decided not to pay attention. I was focusing on my interview, so I go direct to the locker of room of Mr. Sanchez and I wait for him. But I believe that the rest of the media start to hear the different kind of things that I didn’t hear. And sometime in a minute, a colleague (said), ‘Come with me, and I’m so sorry. It’s terrible. I feel sorry for you.’ So I tried to say, ‘Don’t worry, I can handle the situation.’ And that’s it. And I don’t even try to pay attention . . . I was focused on my job, and try to not pretend not to be feeling bad in this situation.”
Ines Sainz says this isn’t the first time she has had to deal with sexual harassment, but she does say that it was the most crude language she’s dealt with.
“I was covering [sports] for nine years. And probably, I have similar reactions in a different kind of sports. But, never, the vocabulary never so rude. I think that the media that in the locker room, what are really upset is about the vocabulary they used to refer to me. I want to say that I’m not the one who made the charge. Because I didn’t even say, ‘Hey, I feel bad for that, with NFL.’ The ones that say that something is happened there is the rest of the media.”
Ines Sainz is obviously incredibly gorgeous, and her body is amazing, as you can see in the photos. But that certainly doesn’t give anyone the right to treat her like a piece of meat. It seems the NY Jets had the “pack mentality” thing going on and I would have to think that not only would that be repulsive, but perhaps a bit scary for her. Shame on these grown men and “professionals” to act like a bunch of sex deprived inmates. Of course the whole debate of whether or not women should be allowed in locker rooms will probably heat up again after this incident.
