Tommy Lee’s Methods of Mayhem is back with “A Public Disservice Announcement,” the new CD which hits stores today.
The world famous Mötley Crüe drummer founded the band in 1999 and finally, 11-years later, is following up the band’s platinum self-titled debut.
Methods of Mayhem’s “Public Disservice Announcement” is a unique album as more than 10,000 of Tommy’s fans recorded their own musical interpretations to his songs between October 2009 and February 2010 then sent them to him. Tommy listened to every submission. He then selected the best and actually put the chosen ones on the new album. Those whose samples were used were credited, and if you submitted yours, you can find out today if it made the cut. Pick up the album for $9.99 right now at Target.
You can check out exclusive footage behind the scenes of Methods of Mayhem’s “A Public Disservice Announcement” here on Tommy’s site and don’t forget to watch Wednesday night’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as Methods of Mayhem is the musical guest.

Below is a Fox 5 News interview with Tommy Lee, which you Tommy/Mötley Crüe fans will dig. Tommy talks about his neighborhood, his special gift of knowing the name of any plant or flower (Ok, that’s hot!), and ex-wife Pamela Anderson.
So awesome that he/they included their fans on their album. He seems like such a cool and down-to-earth guy! I met him once at a NIN concert (2006 I think), and he took the few mins out to take a pic with me. He was very polite (I was a nervous wreck!). Will always be a fan for sure! :)
