[Left] Artie Lange and [Middle] Craig Gass
Craig Gass was a guest on this morning’s Howard Stern Show and the comedian gave Stern Show listeners an update on Stern’s sidekick Artie Lange.
The update was a positive one.
If you recall, Artie Lange was hospitalized ten months ago after a failed suicide attempt. He reportedly stabbed himself with a knife nine times before being discovered by his mother who was stopping by to visit.
Craig Gass says that Artie performed this weekend at a club in NY – and that he owned it. It was the first performance from Artie Lange since the suicide attempt.
Gass also posted a photo of he and Lange on his Facebook. Lange, who has long battled drug, alcohol and weight issues, was looking healthier and slimmer than he had in recent years. Fans of the Stern Show are hoeful that this is a good sign and that Atrie will be back on the show before long.
