James Heselden: Segway Owner Dies

James Heselden, owner of the Segway company, died an ironic death on Sunday after he accidentally rode over a cliff on a Segway in Yorkshire, England.

His body, and the Segway, were recovered from the River Wharfe after a passerby spotted them. The death is not considered suspicious. James Heselden, better known to friends as “Jimi,” bought the Segway company earlier this year from the inventor, Dean Kamen.

James Heselden was a self-made man worth hundreds of millions and was involved in multiple charities.
