I’m a little late posting the James Franco in drag photos, but better late than never!

Actor James Franco did a drag photo shoot for Candy magazine recently and if you didn’t know it was him, you’d probably never guess it!

The drag pics were shot by Terry Richardson and show James Franco with long, luxurious fake eyelashes, bright blue eyeshadow, blood red lipstick and slicked back hair.

James says people confuse him with the characters he plays. And oftentimes his characters are gay – or they are potheads. Both of which, he says, is nothing like his true self.  ”Sure, I’d tell you if I was [gay]. I guess the reason I wouldn’t is because I’d be worried that it would hurt my career. I suppose that’s the reason one wouldn’t do that, right? But no, that wouldn’t be something that would deter me. I’m going to do projects that I want to do.”

“Everyone thinks I’m a stoner, and some people think I’m gay because I’ve played these gay roles. That’s what people think, but it’s not true. I don’t smoke pot. I’m not gay.”

Well, I’ll admit, I don’t peg him for a pothead, but gay? Yup. I am one of those who think he IS. And I do think he is in the closet simply for his career. Anyone else agree with me?
