Rescued Chilean miner Yonni Barrios and mistress Susana Valenzuela
For one rescued miner being rescued from the grim situation wasn’t all roses.
Yonni Barrios a man who has been married to his wife, Marta Salinas, for 28 years, had been cheating on her for the past five years with a mistress, Susana Valenzuela, and the affair was discovered as he was trapped in the Chilean mine.
At the rescue site his lover/ mistress of five years, Susana Valenzuela, was spotted by Marta, holding a photograph of Yonni and the Virgin Mary as she prayed for Yonni’s safe return. Rut-roh!
Yonni Barrios’ wife (right) has decided not to be there when her husband is rescued. She told reporters: “I am happy because he made it, it’s a miracle of God. But I’m not going to see the rescue. He asked me to, but it turns out that he also asked the other lady, and I am a decent woman. Things are clear: it’s her or me. I won’t even watch it on TV. Besides, in phone conversations and in the letters he has sent me it’s clear that he is fine, and that’s enough for me.”
Mistress Susuana Valenzuela is expected to be there for her lover, Yonni Barrios. As I write this the Chilean miner rescue tube is heading down to rescue Yonni Barrios.

Yonni Barrios has been rescued and his mistress, SusuanaValenzuela was indeed there for his arrival. The couple hugged, kissed and Susana sobbed in his arms.
I was thinking maybe the wife knew, until reading this. Weird he asked both of them to be there. His wife seems pretty decent in her response though..much nicer than I would have been probably!

He didn’t look thrilled at all when he came up and saw her.
I agree that he was not real happy to see the woman waiting and I thought it was his wife. I think this took alot of guts for this girl to show up, not cool!
I hope he makes it right with his wife who obviously has more class than this girl. I cannot believe she showed up. How humiliating.
this whole story sounds so scandalous… but upon further investigation – it seems as though him and his wife have been apart for quite some time – not that I am justifying anything here, but it was no big scandal, his wife obviously knew that he didn’t live WITH HER – so he was somewhere… regardless, it seems as though their marrige was over. I kinda’ feel bad for this “mistress” she seems like a sad character – pathetically in love… and now she is being labeled such nasty thigs – anyhow, this wouldn’t be my ideal sistuation – but it is what it is. so …WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!
He does lok like a Chilean Tim Allen. You know it’s funny, when all the guys were rescued, I, like everyone else in the world, looked at the pictures of the men and like every woman, picked out which ones I thought were cute. He was the first one I thought was a babe. And it figures, I woud pick the one who cheats. Sigh. Thank God he is ok, and all the other men are, too.
I say Yonni should go to the one that loves him, and that I think he loves , his girlfriend, I think he was kinda nervous not knowing what was going to happen at the top, but I think he was happy to see her . as they said , he hadnt lived with his wife in years , so , good greif ,, iI wouldnt expect her & him to hug and give each other slobbering kisses. thats a long gone thing . I say Yonni needs to get his divorce now,, and go on and have a wonderful life with his girlfriend.
