Liam Neeson replacing Mel Gibson in Hangover 2 cameo

Hangover 2 director Todd Phillips has already found his replacement for Mel Gibson.

Gibson, who was originally cast for a small role in Hangover 2 as a tattoo artist, was axed only days after the announcement. The reason being is the cast protested when they learned Mel Gibson had won the role.

As soon as he landed the role as a tattoo artist, he was dropped. And as soon as he was dropped, Liam Neeson was hired.

Neeson confirmed the news: “I just got a call to do a one day shoot on ‘Hangover 2′ as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it. I just laughed my leg off when I saw ‘The Hangover, I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV.”
