Jennifer Mee, ‘Hiccup Girl,’ Charged with Murder [PICS]

Jennifer Mee, a.k.a. Hiccup Girl

Jennifer Mee, who you may remember as the Hiccup Girl because she had non-stop hiccups for months, has been charged with first degree murder.

Back in 2007 Jennifer Mee, 15, was making the rounds in the media doing interviews about her hiccups. Mee would hiccup 50 times a minute, and the hiccups lasted for months. They eventually subsided as did the media attention.

Later that year Jennifer Mee ran away from home. She had an argument with her parents who believe the attention went to her head. Also, strangers were calling the family, leaving suggestive messages on Jennifer’s MySpace page and such so her parents took her cell phone and monitored her computer time to keep her from danger. This caused a conflict and Jennifer left home as a result.

Fast forward to 2010, Jennifer Mee is now 19-years old and has been charged with murder along with two other people. Jennifer allegedly lured Shannon Griffin, 22, to a Florida residence where he was robbed and shot to death. The Hiccup Girl is being held without bond.

Jennifer Mee in jail, how sad…

How sad for the young man she lured to his death. What is wrong with her? If she’s lucky she’ll spend the rest of her life in prison, most likely she’ll get the death penalty. Was she so stupid she didn’t understand the consequences of killing someone by enticing them to be murdered? I’m having a shortage of pity for her, but she copped it immediately. The full story should be interesting, and one I hope parents will talk about with kids, just because you didn’t shoot the person doesn’t mean you don’t get charged with the same crime as the person who did shoot. All and all I’d say the hiccups may have been the best part of her sad life.
