Kid Rock Lashes Out at Steven Tyler



Kid Rock took aim at Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler for taking on the role of an American Idol judge this upcoming season.

It seems Kid Rock doesn’t think a true rock n’ roll legend would ever set foot on the show and he’s taken it upon himself to give Steven Tyler a ration of sh*t for doing so.

Kid Rock told Entertainment Weekly: “I think it’s the stupidest thing he’s ever done in his life. He’s a sacred American institution of rock and roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire. I think whoever’s advising him… we should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counselling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth.”

Ok, first off, it is HARDLY the stupidest thing Steven Tyler has done in his life. I think being a heroin junkie qualifies as the dumbest thing he’s probably done, not being a judge on American Idol.

Secondly, if Kid Rock is insinuating that he is ‘more rock n’ roll’ than Steven Tyler he is sorely mistaken. At least he never put out any sh– like this:

    Kid Rock said it himself, Steven Tyler is a sacred American institution of rock and roll, and someone of Kid stature is hardly one to judge. By doing American Idol Steven is going to connect with a whole new generation of people and hopefully in turn keep great music like Aerosmith alive. Say some twelve year old kid sees Steven Tyler on AI, wonders what he’s all about, plugs his name into Youtube and gets to hear some amazing music… Kid Rock needs to take a shower and shut his ugly mouth.
