Courteney Cox: No Divorce

Courteney Cox might not be ready to divorce David Arquette

Courteney Cox has opened up for the first time about her split from husband of 11 years, David Arquette.

In an interview with Australia’s TV Week Courteney says that the couple truly are attempting a trial separation to see what the future has in store. She added that divorce is not in the forefront of her mind.

“I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting divorced. This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.”

She does admit that she and David have changed in the past 11 years and she worries about their compatibility these days. “Sometimes you just realize ‘Wow, we actually have grown apart.”

As for David’s interview with Howard Stern immediately after the split was announced, she doesn’t sound like she is holding it against him. “[David] is a kook. It’s not shocking and Howard Stern he loves him and I’m a fan of Howard Stern. David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.”

Through it all, her BFF Jennifer Aniston has been by her side. The two women have been spending a lot of time together and it has helped Courteney get through the split. “We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great,” Cox says. “It’s funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer [who] has gone through it. I don’t know what’s going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure.”

So there IS hope for David and Courteney. I really want these two to make it through, but at this point it is really hard to say. My gut feeling though is that it’s really over and that a divorce is inevitable. Regardless, I wish these two the best and hope whatever lies ahead will make them both happy in the long run. Love them both!
