Aidan’s MONSTERS!

Hello Smackaholics, although this has nothing to do with celebrities/pop culture/ trending topics, I wanted to share this with you.

Aidan is a 5 year-old boy with Leukemia.He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on September 13th of this year. He has already gone through one round of chemotherapy but will have to continue treatments for 2 or 3 more years. His battle has just begun.

The financial strain this has put on Aidan’s family has been overwhelming as you can imagine. Aidan’s father had considered working a second job and the family thought they may have to sell their home to pay for the medical expenses. But then they started offering Aidan’s drawings of monsters for sale through etsy.com. You see, Aidan apparently LOVES all things scary and also loves to draw. His artwork has been a tremendous hit and has helped his family considerably in these tough times.

Today we purchased the “Scary Clown” drawing by Aidan. I too, love all things scary, and scary clowns are one of my favorites. We will gladly frame this in our home and think of Aidan, sending him positive thoughts and prayers along the way.
