Lil Wayne is out of jail

Rapper Lil Wayne is out of jail and a free man after serving nearly eight months at Rikers Island jail in NYC.

Lil Wayne, 28, was sentenced to a year in prison earlier this year after being found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon. The incident stemmed from a 2007 incident where police discovered a loaded .40 caliber semiautomatic on his tour bus. Two years later he pleaded guilty and was finally sentenced this past February. He began his sentence in March, and as expected, was released about approximately eight months later.

Now that Lil Wayne is out of jail what are his plans? A party of course! And not just a typical party either. Lil Wayne is going all out with a bash at a Miami strip joint on Sunday.

President of Wayne record label, Mack Maine, says Lil Wayne’s entourage is going to “treat him like a king, like the royalty that he is, and make him feel like we really missed him and welcome him back to the family, basically.”

Now that Lil Wayne is out of jail he plans on getting right back to his music. We hear he may possibly even make a special appearance at Drake’s concert on Saturday in Vegas.
