Nick Lachey Vanessa Minnillo engaged
Nick Lachey and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo are engaged to be married.
Nick and Vanessa have been dating since 2006 when she starred in one of his videos. But the friendship goes back even further than that. Nick Lachey’s ex-wife Jessica Simpson was actually friends with Vanessa Minnillo before Nick. Jessica and Vanessa met back in 2003 when Jessica was still married to Nick. Jess and Vanessa quickly became friends and Jess even confided in Vanessa when her marriage to Lachey was crumbling.
Soon after Nick and Jessica split, Vanessa and Nick got together, infuriating Jessica. But Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo lasted. They did break up shortly in 2009 but worked out their differences and have since taken their relationship to the next level. How do they make it work? Vanessa told Parade magazine: “We talk daily about things that upset us. It’s about having a sounding board because if you hold in all your thoughts, dreams, anger and anxiety than you’re only hurting yourself.”
Not only are Nick and Vanessa getting engaged, they also have another celebration coming up. Both have birthdays on November 9th. Nick will be 37, Vanessa, 30.
