Juicy Blind Item: Roses are Red….

Kirk Cameron

Time for another juicy blind item tidbit!

This one if from BlindGossip and involves Bette Midler, tears and an seriously awkward moment….read on!

“This strait-laced former sitcom actor was at a restaurant/bar with his wife. A fan walked up to him and asked for his autograph. He held up his hand to shush the fan and said, “Shh, we’re listening to this song.” The actor and his wife then held hands and swayed back and forth with their eyes half-closed and sang along with tears spilling down his cheeks. The fan had to awkwardly stand there and wait until the end of the song. The whole situation was so bizarre that it was all the fan and the onlookers could do to keep from laughing during the emotionally cloying performance. The song they were singing was “The Rose” by Bette Midler. The actor in question has started focusing his life in another way away from acting. And no, he won’t be singing for a living. Especially songs by a gay icon like Bette Midler. Because, to him, being gay is a sin, and as long as he keeps denying his own sexuality, he is being righteous.”

Hmmm….the only one I can think of is Kirk Cameron. Former sitcom actor turned evangelist. And he is anti-gay:

Your thoughts?

    Well.. It is a sin.. Read the bible.. We all sin though.. Its really a matter of if they have accepted Jesus as their personal savior.. A sin is a sin.. Being gay doesn’t mean they won’t go to heaven..

    He’s just another hypocrite, who eventually if he is gay will get caught in some embarrassing way. His sister is another Jesus freak so I think it’s the way they were raised. I feel sorry for anyone who just can be themselves honestly and authentically, a real bummer to go through eternity hiding your true self from the world. The Rose, crying? Really?

    No one has the right to tell anyone how they live (because it’s against their beliefs) is wrong and evil.

    The most hypocritical and evil people are so-called “Christians” who protest with such anger, hate and violence against people who don’t agree with them (such as gays and lesbians and Muslims, etc.) that it is scary.

    What about forgiveness, tolerence and acceptance? Ignorance is evil.
    I would rather know a kind athiest who is a good citizen, than someone who calls themself a “Christian” and is hateful towards people who don’t believe the “world of God” and doesn’t live by THEIR rules.

    Actors (current and former) are not the most intelligent people on the planet and should keep their yaps shut and stop trying to sound intelligent.
    Kirk Cameron should just go back under his closed compound where he and his family can live in their sad world with not knowing or meeting many interesting an good people who are (shocking) Bible thumpers.

    @Jinxy and Danielle-

    Aren’t you doing the same thing? Judging someone based on his beliefs, deeming those beliefs wrong and being hateful towards them because their beliefs don’t agree with yours?

    “What about forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance?” And you call “Bible thumpers” hypocritical?

    Don’t get me wrong, I think people like that give all Christians a bad name. Not every Christian in the world is a hate-filled homophobe, and you painting them all with the same brush is just as hateful, ignorant and vile as the people you claim to despise. THIS Christian stands up for the rights of ALL people, even the ones that I personally disagree with. You have the right to express your negative feelings, just as that fool has the right to express his. But to start all the name calling and insinuating he’s gay and about to have some huge sex scandal exposed is wrong, plain and simple.
