Lindsay Lohan, Michael Lohan Reunite

Lindsay Lohan and her father Michael Lohan have reunited after more than a year of Lindsay not speaking to her father.

But now that Lindsay Lohan has been in and out of jail and is currently in the longest rehab stint of her life, maybe it’s time to stop blaming everyone else for her problems, forgive and move on.

Michael Lohan, as much as he is an attention seeking famewhore, is Lindsay’s father. Part of her rehab may be mending broken relationships and attempting to strengthen them. Even if you’re family is crazy, oftentimes it’s good to still have a stable relationship with them. This is especially true for addicts. Lindsay desperately needs a strong foundation, and hopefully her parents will step up to the plate and support her.

Michael has sworn off talking to the press about his daughter, but he still squeaks out information, just in smaller doses. Of his trip to see Lindsay in rehab he said: “I have pledged not to comment about anything relating to my daughter. However, what I will say is that I am an incredibly proud father tonight. My daughter is progressing extraordinarily well.”

A source revealed that the father and daughter had a very touching reunion. “It was an emotional reunion… there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other,” the source told RadarOnline.com.

Michael, who was invited to the Betty Ford Center by Lindsay, spent hours with Lindsay. The two even went shopping at the Palm Desert mall for a bit.

According to reports, Lindsay Lohan has been emailing friends, apologizing for her past behavior. This would seem to suggest Lindsay is growing up, maturing and hopefully healing.

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s stage mother, Dina Lohan made an appearance on the Today Show this morning, talking with Matt Lauer. AGAIN. Which I think is bizarre, why does she feel like she needs to make appearances like these? Don’t you think her daughter’s privacy would be the most important thing? Anyway, it’s not surprising really, Dina loves the attention for herself. Anyhow, I’ll post the interview shorty…

Lindsay Lohan still has 8-weeks left of rehab, meaning she will be there through the holiday season and until after the first of the year. It seems like she is on the right track and I really do hope she can stay on it. It certainly won’t be easy, but the rewards will be well worth it if she does. Best of luck to her.

    I would bet money the only reason she’s seeing him is it was the only way to keep him from continuing to sell stories and interviews about her to paying “news” blogs, to keep him from his crazy lying about her, when they’d had no contact for over a year. The carrot and the stick routine, stop talking about me and I’ll see you… he’s hurting her career more than her addictions are. Turn the extortion table on him to keep him quiet. It’s easy to see why she’s got so many problems with a sociopath for a father. Good luck to her, but keep him as far away as possible, because if he’s low on cash he can’t help but sell her out for money. He believes she owes him. Like all women, they are there for his use and abuse. No wonder she’s screwed up.
