Cat Stevens Peace Train Flashback

CAT STEVENS PEACE TRAIN

Ok, time for a flashback to the 1970s!

Why? Because they were good times, Yeah, I remember them, you young things, and you have no idea what you were missing.

This is a really killer, quality live recording of Cat Stevens in 1976 during his Earth Tour.  Peace Train is one of the greatest songs to ever come out of the 70′s. Obviously Cat Stevens has amazing talent and sounded just as good live as he did on his albums, if not better. How many artists can you say that about these days?

Peace Train was featured on the 1971 Cat Steven’s album Teaser and the Firecat. It rose to the #7 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 that year. Peace Train was featured in the films Remember the Titans and We Are Marshall, both outstanding movies I might add. Enjoy a little peace today, this song will take the edge off…

Thanks to my pal Lucy for inspiring this post! X

He was such a beautiful man.

My fourteen year-old self, beneath this worn-out exterior, lives on under the spell of a perpetual crush.
