Gwyneth Paltrow performed her hit, “Country Strong,” on the CMA Awards last night along with Vince Gill.

“Country Strong” of course, comes from the film of the same name where Gwyneth plays an alcoholic, washed up country singer who makes a comeback, presumably with this lackluster song.

Ok, so Gwyneth Paltrow, Ms. GOOP . . . Madonna’s BFF . . . Mrs. Chris Martin . . . is a country girl now. *Yawn* You see, I’m not a Gwyneth Paltrow fan – or a country fan – so this really doesn’t do it for me. Not trying to hate on Gwyneth, I guess I just don’t get the big deal about her singing. Everyone is making it out like she is the next Loretta Lynn or something. Hmph..

I’m sure a lot of you will disagree with me. What was your opinion about Gwyneth Paltrow’s CMA Awards performance? Bonus if you can tell me how many times she blinks during her performance…

    Okay, so after watching this I must say, I am not a Goopy fan, nor am I a country music fan, but I think she sang pretty darn good considering the material that comes out normally from actors. I think she sounds like a person that kicks a** as at karaoke, plus she DOES play the guitar, so I am kinda impressed! :) Oh and I believe she blinked 84 times, though I might be off. ;-)
