Bruce Beresford-Redman Charged with MURDER, Finally.

Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman has maintained his innocence all along, but all evidence points to him as being the murderer of his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman.

Bruce and Monica were vacationing in Cancun, Mexico last April when the couple became involved in a heated argument. Witnesses say that they saw Bruce Beresford-Redman attempt to hit his wife as they fought. Later that night, people who were staying in the same hotel claim they heard a woman in distress. They were awakened by “screams, crying for help and extremely loud banging in the room above.”

The next day Bruce Beresford-Redman contacted police and reported his wife missing. He claims she went out shopping the day before and never returned. But Monica Beresford-Redman’s body was found shortly after in the sewer of the resort where the couple were staying. She had been asphyxiated and suffered a blow to her right temple. But she wasn’t the only one with injuries, Bruce had suspicious scratches on his neck.

Monica Beresford-Redman’s sister says that Monica had recently learned Bruce was cheating.

After Bruce’s arrest in April, toxicology tests were conducted and he was released soon after. He was forbidden to leave Mexico. But he did, and he did so without Mexican authorities knowledge. In May Bruce Beresford-Redman was spotted by ABC camera crews at his home in Rancho-Palos Verdes, CA. It is thought he fled Mexico in an attempt to avoid spending months, or years, in a Mexican prison while authorities built a case against him.

However, his freedom is now over. Bruce Beresford-Redman has been arrested and is being detained by U.S. Marshals until the extradition process is completed.

Beresford-Redman is being held at Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. He will be making his first court appearance Wednesday morning.

Monica’s sisters are hoping that justice will prevail. The women recently lost a court battle against Bruce Beresford-Redman seeking custody of the couple’s two children. Instead a judge ruled in Beresford-Redman’s favor.

Bruce Beresford-Redman is charged with aggravated murder in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
