Tony Parker speaks about his divorce
Tony Parker is speaking out about his divorce from Eva Longria amidst much controversy.
Tony Parker, 28, denies filing for divorce before his wife and says that he and Eva wish to keep the divorce proceedings private. Uh, good luck with that.
In a statement issued by Tony Parker’s publicist he says: “Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately. I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles. I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California. We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private.”
He didn’t say it in the divorce statement, but Tony Parker is also supposedly denying that he had sex with Erin Barry, the wife of his former teammate Brent Barry. But the “sexting,” well, that’s another story.
When Eva discovered that Tony and Erin had been sexting each other, she and Tony had a blowout, and came to a mutual agreement that they would divorce. Both Tony Parker and Eva agreed to keep the divorce clean, free from as much drama as possible, as they decided who would file for divorce.
But that all changed when Eva filed divorce without Tony’s knowledge, blindsiding him in a sort of revenge tactic. It’s rumored that she was the one to feed the media information about his relationship with Erin Barry as well.
As for the other couple involved, Erin and Brent Barry, this controversy has simply sped up their split. With their marriage already on the outs, Brent Barry went ahead and filed for divorce from his wife and mother of his children since learning about she and Tony Parker’s relationship.
