Malin Akerman to star as Linda Lovelace in ‘Inferno’

Lindsay Lohan is no longer going to portray porn star Linda Lovelace in the film Inferno.

Instead, producers have opted for actress Malin Akerman to take the lead role.

The rumors surrounding the Inferno are conflicting with some reports saying that Lindsay Lohan was fired from the film, while others say that Lindsay Lohan opted to back out of the movie, feeling that the role was no longer suited for her. Of course her publicist is insisting the “break up” was mutual.

Regardless, Malin Akerman, 32, a Swedish-Canadian actress and model, is set to take on the role of Linda Lovelace in Inferno. Malin Akerman has had roles in 27 Dresses, Watchmen, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, The Heartbreak Kid, Couples Retreat, and The Proposal.

Too sad for that, it could be Lindsay’s way to go back to work after California has given back her license to drive again.
