Howard Stern and Apple to join forces?
It looks like Howard Stern’s stock just keeps going up and up, and this time it is Apple who is courting him.
Howard Stern and Apple are most likely going to join together in a HUGE $600 million deal for a 3-year contract where Howard would take his show to Apple to host an internet/TV/iTunes broadcast. Howard Stern is currently with Sirius and his contract expires January 2011.
Howard Stern signed with Sirius radio five years ago for a measly $500-million. It’s highly unlikely they will counter Apple’s $600 million offer to Howard Stern in order for him to stay.
A good move for Stern – AND for Apple? I’d say so. It’s a no brainer for Stern, and for Apple, it’s the wave of the future. And of course anywhere Howard Stern goes his hugely loyal audience follows. There’s no way it can fail. It looks like Howard Stern really is the King of All Media.
I am not too surprised by this deal, Howard Stern has always proven to be a good businessman. He may do a lot of shit on the air and in the media but don’t get fooled by this, it is all part of his persona. He is an intelligent businessman, and I highly repsect him for his movement.
This deal will never happen. ipod shows or whatever can easily be posted and downloaded for free on Usenet and elsewhere on the internet.
Yes, Stern is a shrew dbusinessman, but as a middle aged woman, I have no desire to pay my hard earned bucks listening to a 50 something dufus that never outgrew the 14 year old “farting humor”. I have no desire to listen to stripper talk, baloney butt ring toss games etc. Howard is a tool and Robin is only with him for the $$. How many charitable things do you see Howard do with his $$ or once going overseas to see our guys and gals laying it on the line line so many other personalities do? JMHO.

As far as you know, he gives more to charity than Robin.
He’s been hinting at a deal just like this for months. If I had wasted 30 seconds actually trying to figure it out I would have realized it had to be Apple.
