This time we are revisiting the 80′s with “Dance Hall Days” by Wang Chung. Off the 1984 album, Points Without Curve, Dance Hall Days only made it to #16 on the Hot 100, but it has had staying power. Even if you weren’t alive in 1984 you are familiar with this song. You might know it from Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion, or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City the video game or even AMC’s Breaking Bad.

Wang Chung actually started out with the name Huang Chung but in 1983 changed their name to Wang Chung on the advice of their label, Geffen Records.

Dance Hall Days….1984….ahhhh seems so long ago. The song reminds me of countless days in the public pool during the summer that year, penny candy and jelly shoes. Yes, I am a child of the 80′s, baby.
