Paul McCartney on Jimmy Fallon singing “Scrambled Eggs”
Paul McCartney was on Jimmy Fallon Thursday night and both McCartney and Fallon sang a song called “Scrambled Eggs.”
It’s a song you might well know. “Scrambled Eggs” is actually a rendition of the Beatles “Yesterday.” You see, when Paul McCartney and John Lennon were working on the song they substituted lyrics until they came up with the lyrics for “Yesterday.” McCartney and Lennon apparently did this often with their music.
So Paul McCartney and Jimmy Fallon sang “Scrambled Eggs” together on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and it was a sensational moment in late night television. Truly classic.
You know, Jimmy Fallon is truly at his best when doing his silly songs on the show. His show is worth watching just for the parodies.
Paul McCartney and Jimmy Fallon “Scrambled Eggs,” here are the lyrics:
Scrambled Eggs
Oh my baby how I love your legs
but not as much as I love scrambled eggs
Oh we should eat some scrambled eggs
Waffle Fries
Oh my darling how I love your thighs
But not as much as I love waffle fries
Oh have you tried the waffle fries
They are so damn good that they should be illegal
They’re like regular fries but they’re shaped like a waffle
Tofu wings
Oh my baby when I hear you sing
All I think about is tofu wings
Oh did you bring the tofu wings
There’s a place I know where I go for kick ass wings
Love them both!
Thanks so much for sharing. Great post!
One small typo I noticed in the lyrics you posted that I thought I should let you know about:
Second verse: “But not as much as waffle fries” should be rather “but not as much as I love waffle fries”
…just a small oversight…thank you though.
