Candice Crawford, the brother of actor Chace Crawford, is engaged to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
A former Miss Missouri who works for Dallas CW affiliate KDAF as a sports reporter, Candice Crawford is beautiful, blonde and successfull – just the way Tony Romo seems to like them!
Tony Romo, as you know, dated singer Jessica Simpson who is now engaged to former NFL player, Eric Johnson. Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, is also engaged to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. So it’s a big ol’ bizarre love triangle!
Candice Crawford’s station broke the news of her engagement to Tony Romo Thursday night.
On her KDAF profile Candice Crawford lists her interests as “loves to run, play basketball, cook, go to Dallas Cowboys games and hang out with friends and family. And, oh yeah, she likes to watch her brother on ‘Gossip Girl.’ ”
Candice, 24, is the younger sister of Chace Crawford. She is a pageant queen who competed in the Miss Texas Teen USA in 2003 and 2005, placing third runner-up in both competitions. Then Candice won the Miss Missouri USA competition in 2008 and shortly after competed in the Miss USA pageant and placed in the top ten.
While in college at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, Candice Crawford worked for local television affiliates as an intern.
Candice Crawford and Tony Romo have been dating since the summer of 2009 – shortly after Romo and Simpson split.
