Kristi Gibson, Bret Michaels
After 16-years of dating off-and-on, and having two children together, rocker Bret Michaels has asked Kristi Gibson to marry him.
Yes, the two are finally engaged!
It’s been an exciting, yet rough, year for Bret Michaels who suffered a devastating brain hemorrhage in April then went on the win Celebrity Apprentice. All the while, the mother of his children, Kristi Gibson, was there by his side.
Bret Michaels, 47, and Kristi Gibson, 39, had their own reality show on VH1 (which wasn’t very good, imo) and it was during the show’s finale that Bret asked Kristi to marry him. Of course she accepted.
Bret proposed to Kristi by saying: “I love you, and you’ve been unbelievably a big part of my life, and we have two beautiful girls together. I know we love and respect each other, and I hope that we can find that inner love that we have forever. And I want you to be my wife . . . . Please say yes, or the rejection will kill me right now.”
Possibly more happy about the engagement than Kristi Gibson herself, are her two children, Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5, who must be thrilled that their mom and dad are uniting in marriage. Michaels told his girls: “I did it! We’ll all be together forever! Family hug!”
