The Waitresses: “Christmas Wrapping” [VIDEO & LYRICS]

The Waitresses “Christmas Wrapping” (Lyrics included)

Oh yeah, it’s time for another edition of “I LOVE THE 80′s!” – and this time it’s the Christmas edition!

In the 80′s spotlight today we have The Waitresses, best known for their Christmas song, “Christmas Wrapping.”

Despite the “Christmas Wrapping” being released in 1981, this song still gets play every single December and probably will for decades to come.

The Waitresses broke up in 1984 after six years together but continue to influence bands to this very day.  Besides “Christmas Wrapping,” they achieved success with their hit, “I Know What Boys Like,” a total Valley Girl-esque pop tune with a new wave edge. The Waitresses also did the theme song for Square Pegs, the CBS television comedy series (1982-83) that starred a 17-year-old Sarah Jessica Parker. If you were a teenager around then, I KNOW you remember that one!

Enjoy, Christmas Wrapping, it is truly an 80′s Christmas classic!
