Carmelo Anthony’s sister, Michelle Anthony, dead at 36.

Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony is dealing with the untimely death of his sister, Michelle Anthony,36.

Carmelo Anthony left the Nuggets game Wednesday after learning of his sister’s death. He was in San Antonio, his sister resides in Baltimore. We know that Michelle Anthony did have a medical condition, but the specifics have not yet been released.

Carmelo Anthony’s sister was only 36 – far too young to die. This must be an extremely devastating time for Carmelo. Don’t expect him to play ball anytime soon.

Sadly, Michelle Anthony leaves behind four children – just terrible, only days before Christmas.

The Nuggets released the following statement regarding Carmelo Anthony and his sister: “Our entire organization supports Carmelo during this difficult time for him and his family. It is heartbreaking news, particularly during the holiday season.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carmelo Anthony’s family and especially his sister’s children. Sometimes life is simply not fair.
