David Arquette enters rehab

It looks like the split between David Arquette and estranged wife Courteney Cox has taken it’s toll on David.

Arquette entered rehab this weekend after admitting publicly on the Howard Stern Show that he has been drinking too much since the breakup.

David Arquette’s publicist confirmed that he is receiving treatment in rehab, but won’t say for what. However, a source told People magazine that David is in rehab for drinking and depression – two things that David, 39, has openly admitted to struggling with.

“He is in there for drinking and depression, not hard drugs. Rehab was inevitable,” said the source. “He is dealing with a broken heart. He can’t handle all the changes in his life. All his inner demons came out.”

David Arquette has acknowledged his problems openly and was quite aware that his actions were concerning his family members. “Everybody’s worried and concerned about me,” he told Howard Stern. “When I drink, I become a maniac.”

Kudos to David for checking into rehab, it’s not an easy thing to do and he is obviously struggling. Time to pick up the pieces and get his life back together – with or without Courteney. Hopefully this is the first step in the right direction for him. We wish him the best.
