Eurythmics “Touch”: I Love the 80′s!

Eurythmics “Touch”

Eurythmics Touch, the band’s third album released in 1983, is one of the most recognized album covers of the 1980′s.

Touch featured Annie Lennox with her trademark bright fire colored hair, striking a sort of ‘Rosie the Riveter’ pose, and wearing a bandit mask. The 1980′s were a time when strong women were really starting to assert themselves and Annie Lennox was most certainly a role model to them.

Eurythmics’ Touch featured the singles, Here Come the Rain, Who’s That Girl and Right By Your Side.

In the video below for the Eurythmics’ Who’s That Girl, Annie Lennox glams up her look, donning a blond wig, a Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired ensemble and kittenish make-up. Dave Stewart rocks some crazy 80′s hair, teased and sprayed to 1980′s perfection as he is spotted around Hollywood with different women. But not all his conquests were women, look carefully at 1:35, you’ll see “Marilyn,” (if you remember the 80′s you’ll most likely remember him, if not you may know him as the man Gavin Rossdale admitted to having a fling with) unveiling himself beneath his shades.

Annie Lennox herself also makes an appearance in the video as a man, and not a bad looking one either.

A cool video, a great era. I Love the 1980′s!

(P.S. Also look for all 3 members of the 1980′s band Bananarama in this video!)
