Kat Von D and Jesse James are engaged, really.

Wham, bam, WOW. That was fast.

Not long after Jesse James and ex-wife Sandra Bullock’s divorce became final (June ’10), Jesse and Kat started dating. Kat, who was previously dating Nikki Sixx, calling him “the love of her life,” left her relationship with Nikki to be with Jesse.

Now, you and I both know that Kat Von D is a fickle little minx, and she tends to fall both IN and OUT of love very quickly, rapidly switching partners without any downtime between relationships. She’s also already tried being married and that didn’t exactly work out.

But of course, we’re all wrong and she’s right, forget all the other times she said she was in love with her soulmate, this time it’s for real, yo! ”There is no one else for me. He’s the one.” Kat Von D tells People magazine.

Jesse James gushes about his wife-to-be and says Kat Von D helped make last year’s scandal a thing of the past. “You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs. I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a f—-n’ blast!”

This will be Jesse James’ fourth marriage if all works out. He’s been married to Karla James, 1991-2002, Janine Lindemulder, 2002-2004, and of course, Sandra Bullock 2005–2010. Look at the dates. It seems someone else falls in and out of love easily.

Kat’s ex-husband Oliver Peck said in September that he knows in his heart that Kat Von D and Jesse James won’t last. “She’ll do anything to stay in the limelight. She’s done nothing but screw over every friend she’s had. She cheated on me, got messed up and left me. I don’t think anything with her will last.”
